This Bean Dip takes less than five minutes to make, is super tasty and goes with so many things!
With how easy and fast this is to make, keep this dip recipe in your back pocket to whip up quickly!
Now, it may not be the most attractive dish in the world. But that does not mean it’s not tasty!
Perfect Snack Combo
My family loves beans and we love chips. So a bean dip that can be eaten with chips?! Well, that is about as close to a perfect snack as I think we could possibly get.
My sisters and I are serious about our love for chips and dip. We have planned both baby showers and bridal showers for each other with that being the whole idea for the food planning!
Bean dip is loved by both of my kiddos as well! Always nice to know that food is toddler approved, haha! My son, in particular, loves to “dip dip” any food that he has on his tray into the bean dip when we are eating it.
How to Use Bean Dip?
Bean dip is, of course, so tasty on its own, eaten with tortilla chips.
Add it to tacos/burritos in place or in addition to normal beans!
Another favorite way to use bean dip is on a veggie wrap. Take a tortilla, add a base layer of bean dip then add thinly sliced fresh vegetables of your choice. The creamy beans with fresh carrots, peppers, tomatoes and lettuce (my personal favorite combo) is a good for you and good tasting lunch!
How To Make It!
It takes just 5 minutes to make and that is counting getting out your food processor!
The other amazing thing about this recipe? Just two ingredients! Plus both are items most people have on hand at all times.
It’s made with drained black beans and whatever salsa you have in your fridge!
Throw one can of drained and rinsed black beans into a food processor. A blender could be used here but be careful! You don’t want to break down the beans so much that they become too liquefied. You are looking for a hummus-like consistency.
Add 1/4 cup salsa of your choice. Whatever flavor profile is in the salsa you put in will show up in the dip. If you want to have a bit more of a kick you could also add some jalapenos at this point as well!
Run your food processor till you have a creamy dip! Taste and add salt as needed. You may also find that you want more salsa, add till you reach your desired taste.
Heat in the microwave or on the stove top till warm. Serve with tortilla chips, as an option on a taco bar or however else you want to use it!
Now, I am one of those people that really dislikes cilantro. So much so that I remember while my husband and I were dating I told him that he would have to be ok with never having clantrio in anything I cook, haha! Thankfully, while he likes it, he doesnt care either way!
All that to say, feel free to add some into your dip! Cooking is all about food that you love to eat! I am always modifying recipes for my family’s tastes and adding/leaving things out.
This dip is oh so easy and a favorite to whip up!
