Easy Naan Pizza

Making these easy naan pizzas is a favorite in our family! Not only are they fast to make and so delicious but it’s also a recipe that my toddlers can help with almost every step of the way!

Naan Pizza Cooked
Ready for an easy dinner!

I love a good homemade pizza crust but sometimes I just want it to be a crazy easy meal. Naan is perfect for this!

There is something so incredibly tasty about the flavor of the toasted naan. Make it into a pizza and it’s even better!

Our favorite way to make naan pizza is to use mini naan! That way we can make as many different flavor combinations as we want and my toddlers get to make their own.

From start to finish this could not be an easier recipe!

Ingredients for Naan Pizza

  1. Canned Tomatoes (diced or crushed) for Pizza Sauce
  2. Naan, Mini or Normal Sized
  3. Shredded Mozzarella
  4. Pizza Toppings of choice

Making your own pizza sauce is so simple to make that I never buy it! So easy to customize and comes together very quickly.  Plus, I think it tastes way better.

Making Your Own Pizza Sauce

  • 1 Can Diced or Crushed Tomatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • Seasonings of Choice (garlic, oregano, crushed red pepper, basil, thyme)

There are two different camps that people can be in when it comes to pizza sauce: cooked or uncooked.

I tend to cook my pizza sauce for just a few minutes, so that it becomes slightly thicker for a more pronounced saucey-flavor. Leaving it uncooked will give you more of that fresh flavor but will be less concentrated.

Diced tomatoes are a pantry staple of mine so that is typically what I use when making pizza sauce. If you have crushed you can skip the step of blending them up!

How to Make Pizza Sauce

So easy that you will forever skip buying it to make your own!

Diced Tomatoes
So easy to blend in the can!
  1. Blend diced tomatoes together by either using a food processor or an immersion blender.
    • My immersion blender fits inside a can! So I simply drain off the top bit of juice and blend in the can. Could not be easier!
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and once hot add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  3. Add two cloves of garlic and a dash each of crushed red pepper, basil,  thyme and oregano. Or any seasonings of your choice
    • You could even simply add italian seasonings if you want it to be easy.
    • I add only a dash of each to my sauce. I want it to taste like tomatoes still!
  4. Stir for 30 seconds till aromatic and garlic is lightly toasted. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  5. Add in blended tomatoes.
  6. Simmer gently for 3-5 mins or until you have reached your desired sauce consistency.
  7. Taste and add salt/pepper as needed!
  8. Use as a pizza sauce and/or dipping sauce.

Making Naan Pizza

  1. Heat Oven to 500 Degrees (or as high as your oven will go)
  2. Place naan 1 inch apart on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. Top with desired amount of sauce (for these mini Naan Pizzas I used a little less than 2 tbsp of sauce each.)
  4. Top with shredded cheese
  5. Add toppings of your choice!
  6. Place in the oven for 6-12 minutes or until you reach desired doneness. This will depend on if your naan was cold from the fridge and how hot your oven will get!

Crispy and Done!

Serve with any extra pizza sauce for dipping! My toddlers love any kind of dip!

In these pizzas we added red bell pepper to all of them and added pineapple to some. A favorite of my husbands is to instead use barbecue sauce and add chicken and onion.

I also feel the need to share here that if you have not tried pickle on a pizza that it is a game changer. Diced pickles on pizza is surprisingly so so good!

I won’t list other toppings since I am pretty sure most people know what they love on their pizzas! Just here to share with the world to give diced pickles a try, haha!

Easy Meal Finished

Naan Pizza is such an easy, fast and simple meal to make! I love that everyone can have their own little pizza to customize and that my toddlers can “do by-self” very easily as well!

These are a favorite on a Saturday afternoon after a fun morning out!! When I meal plan for the week I love adding this meal to the end of the week since it’s hardly any work to make!
